A Free Taste of the Ancient Egypt World Expander
The Hieroglyphs Wing shows how hieroglyphs work and how to write your name in a cartouche. It is a small, hands-on starter, not a full lesson, and it teaches you the World Expander process from start to finish for free, beyond your printing costs.
What’s Inside (3 Sheets)
- Sheets 1 and 2: cut-and-glue ephemera, pockets, fact cards, tags, and tickets
- Sheet 3: the fold-out insert — an 11″ × 8.5″ sheet with two 0.35″ glue flaps and two 5.15″ center panels that fold into a peak, where your ephemera and facts go
- Works on its own, glued into any notebook or journal, or inside the full World Expander later
Deliberately Unfinished
Your wing is a start, not a finish: the cartouche panel waits for your own name and the first glyphs you learn. Some panels hold just the first facts, and the rest is up to you. When you’re curious to see the whole story, the full Ancient Egypt World Expander continues the journey: 45+ cut-and-glue pages, prompts, resources, and museum ideas.
How to Make It
- Print all three sheets on US Letter paper (8.5″ × 11″)
- Cut out the ephemera and pockets from sheets 1 and 2
- Fold the fold-out along the dashed center line
- Glue the two flaps into your journal, add your ephemera and facts, and fill the pockets with real finds
